“Southern Cement”: 98% completion of the Jazan factory’s production line and the start of trial operation
Southern Region Cement Company announced "South Cement"98% of the stages of establishing the new production line at the Jazan Cement Factory have been completed, and trial operation has begun in some production stages.
The company said in a statement on its website "Saudi Arabia trading"This comes in accordance with the approved implementation plan, indicating the production of the first trial quantity of clinker on December 29, 2025 AD, provided that all construction stages are completed, full production capacity is reached, and commercial operation begins during the year 2026 AD.
This development comes as an extension of the company’s previous announcement regarding the establishment of a new production line at the Jazan Cement Factory to replace the current production lines, which was published on the Tadawul website on 05/06/1444 AH corresponding to 12/29/2022 AD, in addition to announcing the signing of a contract with Sinoma International Engineering Company Limited to establish a clinker production line with a capacity of 5,000 tons per day, and a cement grinding capacity of 10,000 tons per day, with infrastructure for an additional clinker production line with a capacity of 5,000 tons per day, according to its announcement published on 10/28/1444 AH corresponding to 05/18/2023 AD.
The company explained that operating the new production line comes within the implementation of its strategy aimed at enhancing the efficiency of operational operations and modernizing production assets, by adopting modern technologies in the cement industry, which contributes to reducing production costs and reducing carbon emissions, starting from the date of the start of commercial operation.
