The Ministry’s branch announced the continuation of its intensive field efforts to ensure the flow of products to the markets with high quality, in response to the increased demand expected during the holy month, and to consolidate consumer confidence in the local national product.
Vital requirements
Deputy Director General of the branch, Engineer Saleh Al-Ghamdi, explained that the region is home to dozens of farms. Producing poultry and eggs, all of which operate according to precise biological requirements and are subject to continuous veterinary supervision to ensure product safety.
The technical recommendations stressed the importance of consumers’ awareness of the necessity of keeping poultry products at appropriate temperatures, and ensuring that they are cooked well to eliminate any potential risks and ensure the highest standards of food safety.

The Director of the Agriculture Department, Engineer Walid Al-Shuwaird, highlighted the high nutritional value of chicken and eggs as an ideal choice for those who are fasting. Because they contain high-quality proteins and low fat percentages compared to other meats.
Al-Shuwaird pointed out that eating these products in moderation during Iftar and Suhoor meals contributes effectively to replacing lost protein, and gives the fasting person a feeling of fullness for longer periods, in addition to their role in building muscles and preserving energy.
