The foreign ministers of Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Iceland, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom said in a joint statement: "We express our deep concern about the renewed deterioration in the humanitarian situation in Gaza, which remains catastrophic, with civilians in Gaza facing appalling conditions with , heavy rains and falling temperatures"
The Humanitarian Situation in Gaza
Through the statement, the Ministers welcomed the important progress that has been made to end the bloodshed in Gaza, secure the release of the hostages, and begin a new phase after two years of devastating conflict.
The joint statement added: "However, we will not lose focus on the suffering of In Gaza, therefore, we call on the government of the occupying entity to take urgent steps together. These restrictions limit the ability of aid to reach the required volume, in accordance with international humanitarian law."
The countries urged the occupying government to remove these restrictions on humanitarian access, and to implement and achieve the comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict for effective humanitarian response, successful recovery and reconstruction, and lasting peace and stability.
