Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer: The family is the cornerstone of the UAE’s vision for a more prosperous future

DUBAI, 30 December / WAM / Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer, President of the Women’s Renaissance Association in Dubai, confirmed that the wise vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” to make the family the focus of development and the sustainability of prosperity and the foundation on which the nation’s renaissance and progress is built, will result in the emergence of conscious generations capable of moving forward with the vision of the Union towards a more stable and advanced future, and it is the first line of defense in order to preserve our culture and values. And our identity.
She added: We at the Al Nahda Women’s Association in Dubai have been keen, over decades, to make the family with all its members a main focus in all our plans and programmes. Our programs do not target women in isolation from their families, but rather we look at the family as an integrated unit. We support the mother in her educational and leadership role within the home, and we support the father as a primary partner in raising children, and provide children with safe spaces for creativity, learning and self-discovery. We believe that investing in the family is the most beneficial investment in the future of the nation, as from the embrace of the family values emanate and identity is rooted. The personality of children is formed, capable of creativity and giving.
She continued: “The association implements an integrated system of pioneering initiatives concerned with strengthening family cohesion, from family counseling and guidance programs, positive education courses, and awareness-raising workshops on children and youth issues, to various cultural, religious, educational, health and volunteer programs and events, and keeps pace with technical progress and artificial intelligence to embody the vision of our wise leadership.”
Sheikha Amina bint Humaid Al Tayer pointed out that: The Latifa Bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creativity represents one of the important arms of the association’s work to support the family, as it not only discovers the talents of children and adolescents, but also strengthens the partnership between the home and the institution, by encouraging parents to accompany their children on the journey of creativity, follow up on their participation, and celebrate their achievements, in a way that turns every success of a boy or girl into a story of pride for an entire family.
She went on to say: In the Year of the Family, we affirm our commitment to continuing to develop quality programs that respond to the needs of the Emirati and Gulf families in light of the rapid changes, with a focus on building bridges of communication between generations, and consolidating the values of mutual respect, dialogue, responsibility, and belonging, so that the family remains the first fortress for children, and the natural environment to protect them from the intellectual and behavioral challenges that may stand in their way.
She said that our efforts at the Dubai Women’s Renaissance Association are consistent with the vision of “We are the Emirates 2031” and with the UAE Centennial 2071, which places the person and the family at the heart of the development process. It also integrates with Dubai’s directions and strategies aimed at enhancing the quality of life for the family, and creating a social environment that embraces creativity and innovation, and supports the role of women and youth in the nation’s renaissance.
She concluded by saying: The Year of the Family constitutes an open invitation to all institutions of society to intensify their efforts towards protecting the family entity, renewing the methods of communication between its members, and keeping pace with contemporary changes in a way that preserves our children’s psychological and emotional balance, and creates for them a healthy environment for creativity and excellence. We, at the Al Nahda Women’s Association in Dubai, will continue to launch initiatives and programs that translate this vision into a tangible reality, in partnership with the government and private sectors and concerned authorities, in the service of our families and our dear country.
