Al-Ahly Youth honors the little girl “Shamma”, star of the “Emirates Today” video

Shabab Al-Ahly Club announced its celebration of the birthday of the child, Shamma Fahd Abdul Rahman, a loyal fan of the “Dubai Knights”, after her influential appearance in a video published by “Emirates Today” on its digital platforms, during the Super Cup match, which Sharjah won 3-2, in an exciting match.
Shamma caught attention after her sincere expression of her sadness over her team’s loss on her birthday and completing her ninth year, during her appearance with her colleague, Abdullah Al Kaabi, in the audience video from inside the stands of Al Maktoum Stadium, which hosted the match, where she said that she was hoping that Shabab Al Ahly would not lose on her birthday, recalling her joy last year, when the team won the cup on her brother’s birthday.
Shabab Al-Ahly Club took the initiative to communicate with the girl’s father the day after the match. An official invitation was sent to Shamma to come to the club’s headquarters during the team’s training, which took place yesterday. Her birthday was celebrated with the participation of the players and the technical and administrative staff, in a special atmosphere that brought a smile to her face. The child took memorial photos with Portuguese coach Paulo Sousa, player Yahya Al-Ghassani, and a number of stars, as well as a group photo with the team.
Fahd Abdul Rahman, the father of the little girl, Shamma, told Emirates Al-Youm: “I received a call from the club the day after the match, and they set a date for the celebration, and it was a big surprise for the girl. The players celebrated her, cut the birthday cake with her, and promised her that she would win the UAE-Qatari Super Cup.”
He added: “The players assured Shamma that she had to come to Qatar during the month of January to support the team, and they promised her that they would bring the cup back. They even told her that they would bring the cup home as well. Today, Shamma was very happy, and I will definitely take her with me to Qatar.”
Shamma had said in the video published by “Emirates Today” through her digital accounts: “Today is my birthday, and I do not want to lose on the day of the match,” in sincere words that touched the feelings of the fans, so that her story turned into a beautiful emotional moment that embodied the special relationship between the club and its fans.
The video received many comments and signs of admiration from the audience and sympathy for the girl’s crying. Some of them commented, calling on the management of Shabab Al-Ahly Club to honor the girl. Others also hoped that happiness would appear on her face in the team’s upcoming tournaments.
