Finland seizes a ship suspected of causing damage to a submarine cable

Finnish authorities on a ship suspected of causing Damage to a telecommunications cable, and has initiated a criminal investigation into the most recently reported incident, regarding the impact on submarine cable links in Baltic Sea.
The Finnish police said in a statement: "The Finnish border guard intercepted the ship today after discovering a company "Elissa Aweg" There was a malfunction in a cable linking Helsinki and Tallinn, and it was found that the ship’s anchor chain had been lowered into the sea"
It is noteworthy that the Baltic Sea, which is bordered by Russia and eight other northern European countries, witnessed a series of accidents that caused damage to submarine communications cables, power connections and gas pipelines.
