"Unnecessary tensions".. America calls on China to stop military pressure on Taiwan

Washington considered that Chinese military maneuvers that took place in recent days around Taiwanleads to escalation of tensions "Unnecessarily"calling on Beijing to stop its military pressure.

US State Department spokesman Tommy Piggott wrote in a statement issued today:"China’s military activities and rhetoric toward Taiwan and other regional actors are unnecessarily escalating tensions. We urge Beijing to exercise restraint, stop its military pressure on Taiwan, and engage in constructive dialogue."

Beijing launched missiles and deployed dozens of fighter jets, warships and coast guard vessels this week in maneuvers around the island, which Taipei condemned and described as… "Very provocative".
