Air traffic disruption in Greece due to radio frequency outages
The Civil Aviation Authority canceled the Wireless in Airspace.
At the main Eleftherios Venizelos Airport in Athens, passengers lined up in long queues due to the disruption on domestic and international flights.
The first reports of a radio frequency outage were received around 07:00 GMT.

Airplanes were diverted
Most of the aircraft heading to Greek airports were diverted to Turkey for up to 3 hours, according to the Greek Radio and Television Corporation.
Air traffic began gradually returning as of 11:00 GMT, according to the authorities.
The head of the Air Traffic Controllers Union in Greece, Panaiotis Psaros, described the incident as "Very dangerous" He blamed what he described as equipment at the airport "Outdated".
