First cycle schools begin the second semester by applying the positive behavior policy to children

A number of public first-year schools began the second semester of the current academic year, applying a positive behavior policy to students in the first and second grades, to support the child’s psychological, social, and emotional development, due to the importance of this age stage in shaping the child’s personality and building his psychological and social behavior.

Helping children
The administrations reported through a school statement to parents, seen by Emirates Today, that this educational policy focuses on helping children adapt to the school environment, enhancing their sense of security and stability, in addition to instilling positive behaviors in them from a young age using educational methods that suit their ages and abilities.

It also seeks to support the child’s psychological, social and emotional development, and move from the principle of punishment to directing behavior and learning from mistakes, which contributes to building a confident and balanced personality.

Psychological stability
The schools stressed that the policy is based on enhancing cooperation and effective partnership between the school and the family, as they are two basic pillars in supporting the child’s behavior and development, in the belief that instilling positive values and behavior in the early childhood stage directly reflects on the student’s academic achievement and psychological stability in the future.

Call parents
The schools invited parents to review the positive behavior regulation policy and interact with it through the designated link, emphasizing the importance of their role as partners in the educational process.

Clear responsibilities
The schools stressed that the general policy of the Children’s Behavior Guidance Regulation stipulates that students, school staff, and parents have clear roles and responsibilities, which must be adhered to in order to ensure the upbringing of a cognitively and socially integrated personality in a safe and sound educational environment.

Accordingly, the child’s guardian acknowledges that he has reviewed the Code of Conduct, and pledges to respect its provisions and implement what is stated therein, by signing a written pledge for the academic year 2025-2026, in support of the school’s progress in creating a positive and stimulating educational environment for our students.

At the conclusion of their statement, school administrations affirmed their appreciation for parents’ constant cooperation, praising their essential role in making educational policies successful and achieving the best results for their children.
