Shabab Al-Ahly wins with a wide score… and Al-Bataeh fans leave the stands early

Large numbers of Al-Bataeh fans left the stands of Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium after the end of the first half of their team’s match against its guest, Shabab Al-Ahly, which was held this evening, Wednesday, in a remarkable scene that reflected the extent of the crowd’s frustration, after the hosts finished the first half of the match trailing by three clean goals, in the twelfth round of the ADNOC Professional Football League, a match that later ended with a clean score for the visitors.
The match, which started with a good crowd, estimated at about 3,000 spectators, witnessed a clear transformation in its general scene at the beginning of the second half, as the significant decline in attendance numbers began to become apparent, after a large segment of Al-Bataeh fans chose to leave early, unable to keep up with the harsh scenario imposed by Shabab Al-Ahly with an organized and decisive performance early.
The start was shocking for the hosts, after Matthews Lima opened the scoring in the seventh minute, before the same player returned and added the second goal in the 27th minute, while Federico Cartabia deepened the wounds by scoring the third goal in the 38th minute, putting Al Bataeh fans facing a difficult reality that prompted many of them to make the decision to leave early.
Despite Al-Bataeh’s attempts in the second half to change the picture, the calm that descended on the stands was more eloquent than any reaction on the field, especially after Yahya Al-Ghassani added the fourth goal for Shabab Al-Ahly in the 57th minute, confirming the superiority of the “Dubai Knights” and widening the technical gap between the two teams that evening.
While Shabab Al-Ahly celebrated a victory that strengthened its position in third place, raising its score to 23 points with a postponed match, Al-Bataeh’s score froze at 6 points in last place, at a time when the fans’ departure from the stands seemed to be a clear summary of the accumulated difficulties facing the team, which go beyond the result of one match to a complete path that will impose itself strongly in the next stage.
