Al Jazeera thwarts Dibba’s surprise with an exciting four… and strengthens its position in third place

Al-Jazira team thwarted the surprise of its guest, Dibba, and came from one goal behind to win by four goals to three, in the confrontation that brought together the two teams this evening at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, in the 22nd round of the Professional Football League, in the presence of about 1,500 spectators.

Al-Jazira strengthened its position in third place after raising its score to 40 points, expanding the difference to four points with its closest rivals, while the position of “Al-Nawakhatha” worsened further, after their score froze at 17 points in last place.

This is the third time in the history of direct confrontations between the two teams (14 matches) that Al-Jazira achieved a double victory, back and forth, in one season, after the 2016-2017 and 2022-2023 seasons.

Dibba was the first to score through Carlos Vinicius in the 18th minute, but Al Jazeera’s reaction did not take long, as Mohamed Rabie quickly equalized in the 19th minute.

Nabil Fekir added the second goal for Al Jazira in the 39th minute, and his team ended the first half with a two-goal lead.

With the start of the second half, Al Jazira succeeded in increasing their lead with the third goal in the 50th minute through Vinicius Melo, while Dibba reduced the difference through Andrego Araujo in the 63rd minute.

Vinicius Melo returned in the 75th minute to score his second and fourth personal goal for his team with a wonderful backhand scissor, before Dibba scored his third goal through Maidana Begna in the 88th minute, but that was not enough to avoid the loss and come out with a positive result.
