Al Ain deserves the lead… and Shabab Al Ahly will fight for the league until the end

Shabab Al-Ahly defender, Bogdan Blanic, confirmed that the competition for the Professional League title is still open, despite the advantage enjoyed by the Al Ain team in the table by four points following its victory on Friday in the “Grand Clásico” 3-2, stressing that his team will continue to fight until the end in order to reduce the difference.

Blanch said in press statements that Al-Ain succeeded in achieving victory over Shabab Al-Ahly twice this season, which gives it a relative advantage in the lead race, adding that his team may have deserved better results in some matches, but football is decided by details and results.

He added: “It is natural to feel disappointment after losing in an influential summit, especially in light of the current points difference and the difficulty of the remaining matches, but the team will try to deal with the situation realistically and positively.”

He pointed out that “playing against a direct competitor in the title race increases the difficulty of the task, and Shabab Al-Ahly was aware of the importance of the match before its start, but in the end they did not succeed in exploiting the opportunities in the desired manner.”

Planic continued: “I congratulate Al Ain on the victory. They have achieved strong results this season and deserve to be at the top of the standings currently, but Shabab Al Ahly will not give up their chances in the competition. We still have a number of matches ahead of us, and we will fight until the end to try to close the gap and return to competing for the title again, and we will give our best in the coming rounds.”
