Dubai Police Carnival kicks off at City Walk

DUBAI, 10TH JANUARY / WAM / The activities of the Dubai Police Carnival exhibition began yesterday in the City Walk area and will continue until tomorrow from 4 to 10 pm and reflects the directions of the Dubai Police General Command in supporting security concepts with interactive community events and initiatives.

The events were attended by His Excellency Major General Rashid Al Falasi, Director of the General Administration of Transport and Rescue, Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Administration of Community Happiness, and Brigadier General Expert Hamid Mohammed Al Hashimi, Director of the General Administration of Airport Security, in the presence of a large audience.

Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri stressed that the Dubai Police Carnival activities at City Walk enhance communication between the police and society, and contribute to consolidating the values ​​of community partnership and trust in the security services.

He added that the carnival supports Dubai Police’s strategic directions in enhancing security, safety, and community happiness, by establishing awareness of Dubai Police’s security, community, and traffic services through fun entertainment and family activities that open new horizons for communication with all segments of society in an innovative way, and at the same time reflect Dubai Police’s values ​​of transparency, communication, and proactiveness, and make everyone feel that they are partners in the security and safety system.

The carnival welcomes families with a range of activities that meet the interests of all family members, including the “Makers Studio,” which offers artistic and creative workshops that enable children and adolescents to unleash their talents in an environment that encourages innovation and experimentation.

Khaled magazine for children, issued by the Security Media Department, also provides a platform that combines education and entertainment, through interactive digital games, sports games, questions and competitions, while providing access to printed copies of Khaled magazine, posters of police characters, and gifts for children.

The carnival showcases a number of security, traffic and community services, including the Dubai Police smart application as a digital platform that provides access to a range of traffic, criminal and community services such as paying fines, reporting accidents, requesting certificates and permits, and activating the SOS system, with support for several languages ​​and an easy-to-use interface for completing transactions without the need to visit police stations.

The carnival includes a presentation of community volunteer opportunities through the Dubai Police Volunteer Platform to enable individuals to participate effectively and establish a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and community service.

It also includes introducing the “Smart Residential Security” service as a home protection system that connects sensors and cameras to the Dubai Police operations room for round-the-clock monitoring, while allowing the system to be managed via a smart application.

Within the framework of promoting and protecting the rights of children and women, the activities include raising public awareness about Dubai Police services to protect and support the rights of children and women, and communication channels through the smart application, website and call center 901.

The carnival includes introducing the “Police Eye” service, which enables community members to report violations and illegal transgressions via the smart application or website, and includes traffic and public reports and wrong behavior.

The carnival also provides an overview of the smart lost and found system and its integrated link between governmental, semi-governmental and private agencies at the emirate level, which reduces time for customers and facilitates the delivery and receipt of found items and the return of collectibles to their owners.

It also includes introducing the upgraded version of the service for inquiring about circulars and travel bans through the Dubai Police smart application and website, which allows customers to view their criminal and financial status in most reports without the need to visit police stations, judicial authorities, or authorities specialized in rental disputes, etc., and know any circulars or reports registered against them and determine the entity required for review when there is a financial or criminal procedure to avoid unexpected situations when planning travel or completing official transactions.

The carnival also includes introducing the “Aman Roads” platform launched by Dubai Police to enhance traffic safety, educate community groups about road safety procedures for pedestrians, drivers, and school students, and raise awareness of laws and communication channels.

The carnival provides an opportunity for the public to see the historical journey of the Dubai Police since its founding. It also witnesses motorcycle and bicycle displays, musical band performances, police dog shows, luxurious security tourist patrols, the virtual simulation program for the “Ghaith” patrol, an old Land Rover, and a Ramadan cannon, in addition to displaying collectibles for the UAE Challenge for Tactical Teams (SWAT), including an armored vehicle and a diving suit.
