Egyptian Jana Ehab’s voice enhances the competition in the 28th session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award

Dubai, February 27 / WAM / The new session of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award brings qualitative additions that enhance the competition’s 28-year history and works to attract more talents from various parts of the world.

Egyptian Jana Ehab Mohamed Ramadan (15 years old), a student in the first year of Al-Azhari secondary school, represents an honorable model for young Qur’anic talents who combined early mastery with great ambition.

She began her journey with the Holy Qur’an early, when she was a little girl no more than five years old, and since that time, she has worked hard to learn the correct recitation in accordance with the provisions of Tajweed and correct recitation, arriving at mastering the recitation professionally.

She achieved many achievements, including an advanced position in the Thamar Al-Dhahabiya competition, one of the most prominent Qur’anic competitions in Egypt. She also participated in the Dar Al-Tahfiz competition, to which she belongs, and achieved first place in it.

Jana received great support from her family, as she found encouragement and support from a young age, and this had the greatest impact in setting her on the path to mastering the Holy Qur’an and its recitation, in addition to the Qur’anic atmosphere inside the home that was a strong motivation to continue and persevere.

In addition to family support, there was a prominent role for some Qur’anic institutions and institutes that contributed to developing its performance and improving its recitation.

Jana said that this support from outside the family had a significant impact on her career, whether through continuous motivation or through the specialized educational programs that she enrolled in.

Jana believes that a quiet environment and quiet times, such as after dawn, are the key to mastery, when concentration is at its highest levels.

She pointed out that achieving a balance between the requirements of Al-Azhar study and the daily reciting of the Qur’an represents a constant challenge, but she was able to organize her time by allocating fixed times for continuous review, as it is the basis for developing performance and consolidating memorization. The lesson is not so much the abundance of what is memorized, but rather its consistency in the chests.

During her career, Jana received many pieces of advice from scholars and clerics, the most prominent of which was the emphasis on sincerity in intention, continuous memorization and review, and linking memorization and work with the Qur’an. She confirms that these pieces of advice formed a moral and practical compass that helped her continue despite the challenges.

She said that she learned that the Qur’an is not just memorization and recitation, but rather a way of life, and with sincerity in intention, God blesses the time and effort, and patience in reviewing the verses establishes them in the heart before the tongue.

Jana aspires to continue learning and teaching the Holy Qur’an, develop herself in the field of Qur’anic recitation and performance, and participate in everything that serves the Book of God and raises her academic and legal level. She plans to be a Qur’an teacher, contributing to graduating new generations of creative memorizers, noting that she seeks for the Qur’an to remain her life’s approach, and to transmit this light to those around her.

Regarding participation in the Dubai International Holy Quran Award, she said that participating in the award is a great honor, and it is a reminder that the Qur’an brings together Muslims from all parts of the world, despite their different languages and cultures, as it is the eternal bond that unites the hearts of Muslims.
