Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority participates in the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Festival

ABU DHABI, 14 JANUARY / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority is participating in the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Festival, organized by the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports, in conjunction with the thirteenth edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak International Show Jumping Academy Cup, from January 13 to 16, 2026 at the Al Forsan International Resort in Abu Dhabi.
The Authority’s participation comes within the framework of its keenness to highlight the national heritage and enhance its presence in community events, which reflects its mission and role in preserving the Emirati heritage and transmitting it to future generations in line with its goals in strengthening national identity. It also aims to establish awareness of the heritage related to dress, and to highlight the Emirati heritage as a living and renewable element that contributes to strengthening national belonging and transmitting it to future generations.
Participation includes a display of models of the “hazzam,” one of the traditional leather works within the “Glory and Dignity” program, where visitors are introduced to the hazzam, which is one of the elements of ancient men’s clothing, and the method of its manufacture, components, uses, various designs, types of adornments and their meanings, with the aim of introducing visitors to the festival, especially the new generations, to the symbolism of the hazzam in Emirati heritage.
