The conclusion of the Sheikh Camel Competition at the Dubai Crown Prince Festival

DUBAI, 14 JANUARY / WAM / Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, witnessed this evening the conclusion of the camel competitions of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs within the His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai Camel Festival, which was held in Al Marmoom Square over the course of 4 days, during which the camels of major institutions competed for the symbols of the age of laqaya, broadcasting, thanaya, squint and zamul.

The final competitions came through the two main symbols halves dedicated to the Crown Prince’s Saif for the open year, and the Crown Prince’s Shaddad for the open Zamoul, which witnessed the participation of the major slogans of the camels of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs.

The result of the first half allocated to the Crown Prince’s Saif for the open year resulted in the victory of “Alia” Hajn Al Shehaniya, led by the track player Salem Faran Al Marri, who covered the distance in a time of 12:15:3 minutes, adding to her record a new achievement among the strongest competitions of the festival.

“Moazzam” for the presidency, under the supervision of the experienced Mohammed Atiq Zaytoun Al Muhairi, was able to obtain the title of Shaddad Crown Prince for the open Zamoul after achieving a time of 12:23:3 minutes.

After the end of the races, Sheikh Mohammed bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Camel Racing Club, crowned the winners of the two symbols, in the presence of members of the club’s board of directors.

Al Marmoom Square also hosted the races of the giants within the competitions of the camels of Their Highnesses the Sheikhs at the His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai Camel Festival, in the races that preceded the challenges of the symbols of the age and the camel.

“Al-Shahiniya” from Hajn Al-Asfa, led by Ghayath Al-Hilali, achieved the lead in the first half of the year, recording a time of 12:34:3 minutes.

“Adham” for Hajn Al-Sheehaniya, led by Faran Muhammad Qurai Al-Marri, won the second round for Al-Zamul with a time of 12:50:0 minutes.

“Dwi” by Hajn Al Sheehaniya, led by Jarallah Muhammad Talib Aqeel, decided the result of the third half of Al Hawl, after finishing the race with a time of 12:33:9 minutes.

“Al-Ghouj” of Hajn Al-Sheehaniya, led by Salem Faran Al-Marri, concluded the Giants’ runs by obtaining the Zamoul Code, recording a time of 12:57:8 minutes.

This morning, Al Marmoom Square hosted the Hawl and Zumul camel competitions for Their Highnesses the Sheikhs as part of the His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai Camel Festival, through 17 races over a distance of 8 kilometres.

“Al-Shaheeniya” team, led by Ghayath Al-Hilali, won the first half of the year after a distinguished performance, recording a time of 12:38:0 minutes.

The lead in the second half for Al Zamul went to “Ghazilan” of Hajn Al Sheehaniya, led by Faran Muhammad Qurai Al Marri, with a time of 12:53:0 minutes.

“Ghaim”, led by Mohammed Khaled Abdullah Al-Attiyah, added the second victory for Hajn Al-Shahaniya, in the third half of the tournament, with a time of 12:46:8 minutes.

In the fourth half designated for Al-Hawl, “Lamha” won for Sheikh Mohammed bin Dhiyab bin Saif Al Nahyan, led by Al-Sadiq Fadl Al-Amin, recording 12:43:0 minutes.

“Turf” Hajin Al Sheehaniya, led by Salem Faran Al Marri, captured the best time in the morning competitions, after topping the sixth round of the year with a time of 12:33:8 minutes.
