المملكة: Arresting violators of the environment and security and safety regulations in Al-Sharqiya, Tabuk and Al-Jawf
Special Forces for Environmental Security A resident of Sudanese nationality who violates the environmental law, for polluting the environment and damaging the soil by unloading concrete materials in Eastern Region, and regular procedures were applied against him, and he was referred to the competent authorities.
The forces explained that the penalty for engaging in an activity or act that directly or indirectly leads to harming or polluting the soil or negatively affecting the use of it or destroying its natural properties is a fine of up to (10) million riyals.
Fishing without a permit
Coastal patrols of the Border Guard in the Governorate seized Al-Wajh in the Tabuk region, two citizens violating the security and safety regulations for those practicing marine activities in the maritime areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for practicing Fishing without a permit, and using prohibited tools, and legal measures were taken against them in coordination with the competent authorities.
The Border Guard called on everyone to adhere to the regulations and instructions related to the protection of living aquatic resources and to report any cases that represent an attack on the environment or wildlife.
Setting fire with vegetation
The Special Forces for Environmental Security arrested a citizen who violated the environmental regulations, for not Compliance with instructions and guidelines for preserving vegetation cover by lighting fires in places not designated for them in the Al-Jawf region, and regular procedures were applied against him.
The forces confirmed that the penalty for setting fires in places other than those designated for them in forests and national parks is a fine of up to (3,000) riyals.
They urged to report any cases representing an attack on the environment or wildlife on the number (911) in the areas of Mecca. Al-Mukarramah, Medina, Riyadh, Al-Sharqiyah, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions. All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality without any responsibility on the part of the person reporting.
