Trump and Rodriguez exchange praise after their first contact

The US President revealed Donald Trump announced that he had a long call with acting Venezuelan President Delcy Rodriguez, in their first contact since the overthrow of Nicolas Maduro.
He said Trump to reporters in the Oval Office: "We had an excellent call today, she is a wonderful person, we discussed many things and I think we get along well with Venezuela"
Rodriguez said that the phone call she had with President Trump was… "Fruitful and tactful"
Rodriguez wrote in a post on Telegram: "I had a long, productive, and courteous phone call with United States President Donald Trump out of mutual respect".
A new political era
Earlier on Wednesday, Rodriguez announced that Venezuela is looking forward to a new political era, after the overthrow of President Nicolas Maduro on January 3 in a US military operation.
Maduro and his wife have been detained in a federal prison in Brooklyn since their appearance in a US court last week, when they pleaded not guilty to the charges against them, including drug trafficking, awaiting the next hearing on March 17.
