A German company showcases an innovative robot for cleaning solar panels during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week
Abu Dhabi, January 15, 2026 – Sunbrush Cleaning Systems, a German company specializing in solar panel cleaning systems, showcased its latest solutions in the field of solar panel cleaning, through its modular “Sunbotics” photovoltaic cleaning robot, manufactured entirely in Germany.
In statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Kim Sibieji, Regional General Manager of Regional Mobile GmbH, confirmed that the Sunbotics robot features an adjustable and expandable design to fit different sizes of solar panels, and can clean surfaces inclined up to 30° and with cleaning sizes ranging between 1.20 m and 2.50 m.
He added that the “Sunbotics” robot is characterized by a modular design that allows it to be easily sized, disassembled, and moved between buildings, which makes it suitable for solar energy installations on the roofs of industrial buildings, educational institutions, universities, and parking lots equipped with solar panels. It is also classified as a flexible and effective solution for cleaning solar energy systems, whether on roofs or in energy farms.
Sipiji said that the UAE is a leading model in supporting innovation, clean energy, and appreciating advanced and sustainable solutions, and through the German Sunbotics robot, we aim to provide advanced solar panel cleaning technologies that contribute to supporting solar energy projects and enhancing the efficiency of clean energy production in the country.
