Beit Al-Lawal launches evenings "Cinema and flavours" In partnership with "Exposure" and"Akil Cinema"
Sharjah, 19 January / WAM / Bait Al Lawal, the cultural destination located in the heart of Sharjah, has launched an exclusive series of “Cinema and Flavors” evenings, providing the public with a unique cultural experience that combines the arts of cinema and culinary creativity in one of the most attractive destinations in the emirate.
This event comes in cooperation with “Cinema Akil” and with the support of the International Photography Festival “Xposure”, which is concerned with telling stories through images.
The evenings will be held on weekends (Friday and Saturday) from January 16 to 31, and the event will be held in the courtyard of the renovated heritage house, where the audience will gather in an ideal atmosphere to watch carefully selected films.
Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the creative visionary from which “Bait Al Lawal” was launched, said that “Bait Al Lawal” represents an extension of the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah to preserve cultural memory and re-present it in contemporary ways, pointing out that “Cinema and Flavors” evenings provide a space in which cinematic art meets culinary experiences in one context, which enhances cultural dialogue and gives attendees the opportunity to interact with stories as a comprehensive experience that combines the image with the memory of place and taste.
For her part, Her Excellency Alia Al Suwaidi, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Office, stressed the importance of the partnership between “Beit Al Lawal” and “Exposure”, which completed a decade of storytelling to present “Cinema and Flavors” evenings within qualitative cultural experiences that combine cinema and culinary arts in line with the goals and mission of the International Photography Festival to expand the horizons of visual storytelling and build bridges of culture.

At Cinema Akil, we have always believed in the power of films to expand our horizons and reshape our ways of understanding the world.
