Board of Trustees "quality" Discusses 2026 plans to keep up "Dubai Social Agenda 33" Consolidating the sustainability of giving

DUBAI, 19 JANUARY / WAM / The Board of Trustees of the Dubai Foundation for Community Contributions (JOOD) held its first meeting for the year 2026, chaired by Her Excellency Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, Chairwoman of the Council, to approve plans for the next phase and discuss strategic directions aimed at developing the platform’s mechanisms and enhancing its role in supporting community work axes, in line with the objectives of the “Dubai Social Agenda 33” and enhancing the emirate’s position as the best city to live and work.
The Council opened its meeting by reviewing the performance indicators and achievements achieved over the past months, especially with regard to expanding partnerships, implementing initiatives with a direct impact, and ensuring the application of the highest standards of transparency and governance in managing contributions.
Her Excellency Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid confirmed during the meeting that the success of “Jood” embodies a clear vision that focuses on enabling giving and building an integrated system that achieves a real and sustainable impact that supports social development goals. This was also supported by His Excellency Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, who pointed out that the integration of roles between the concerned authorities represents the basis of charitable work, and that the achievements achieved highlight the importance of institutional work to ensure that contributions reach their beneficiaries according to the highest standards of governance, while His Excellency Marwan Rashid bin Hashem, Executive Director of the Foundation, said that the next phase will focus on expanding the scope of impact by developing the efficiency of the platform and building effective partnerships that establish a sustainable model for a cohesive society.
Members of the Board of Trustees discussed ways to enhance various paths of community work, with His Excellency Ali Mohammed Al-Mutawa, a member of the Board of Trustees, stressing the importance of the platform as an advanced model linking the endowment system with reliable initiatives to enhance community confidence, while His Excellency Omar Hamad Abdullah Bushahab, a member of the Board, pointed to the vital role that “Jood” plays in supporting family stability and housing, which reflects positively on the quality of life.
In terms of economic partnerships, Her Excellency Dr. Amina Al Rostamani, a member of the Council, considered that the next stage is an opportunity to maximize societal impact by enhancing cooperation with the private sector to link sustainability with social responsibility, which was supported by His Excellency Saleh Abdullah Lootah, a member of the Council, stressing that the performance results encourage the private sector to participate actively in light of the presence of a transparent institutional model.
The Council concluded its discussions by emphasizing the importance of innovation, as His Excellency Mohammed Abdul Razzaq, a member of the Council, explained that the positive results reflect the need to adopt innovative and sustainable solutions to raise the efficiency of resource management.
This meeting reflects the Jood Foundation’s commitment to continuing to develop the giving system and launching creative initiatives that enhance community cohesion and support Dubai’s future strategies for sustainable development and quality of life.
