For the second time… a thousand jobs for male and female citizens in the Sharjah Government in less than a month

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the employment of 1,000 male and female citizens in the Sharjah Government from various cities in the emirate, to accommodate new graduates with academic qualifications, bringing the total employment opportunities announced within the 2026 budget to 2,000 jobs, in support of Emiratization programs in the emirate, according to what the head of the Human Resources Department in the emirate, Abdullah Ibrahim Al Zaabi, announced via the Direct Line program.
The Ruler of Sharjah had directed the employment of 1,000 male and female citizens in the Sharjah government during January 2026.
Also, His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah approved the plan of the Sharjah Program to train and qualify job seekers for the year 2026, to benefit 1,200 male and female citizens from various cities and regions of the emirate, with financial allocations amounting to 60 million dirhams.
The program includes training and qualifying members, in addition to disbursing a monthly reward of 6,000 dirhams to each participant, to support old and new applications for job seekers.
The approval of these jobs comes within the strategic plan of the Emirate of Sharjah, which aims to provide job opportunities for graduates, support them and enable them to achieve a decent life in various cities and regions of the emirate.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah also directed the Human Resources Department to begin organizing job interviews starting next week, to include all cities and regions of the emirate.
Al-Zoubi noted that at the beginning of February 2026, a practical training program will be launched for graduates in professional and technical specializations, including civil and architectural engineering, accounting, information technology, and programming, with the aim of practically qualifying them and appointing them directly according to the needs of government agencies for these qualifications. The program is implemented in coordination and cooperation with a number of government agencies in the emirate, including the Department of Planning and Survey, the Department of Works, the Department of Housing, the Roads and Transport Authority, and the municipalities of the Emirate of Sharjah.
