Trump officially launches the “Peace Council” by signing its founding charter

US President Donald Trump signed on Thursday in Davos the founding charter of the “Peace Council” that he established, shortly after confirming that this council would work “in coordination” with the United Nations.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said during a ceremony attended by a group of leaders who accepted Washington’s invitation to join the council, “Congratulations, Mr. President Trump. The Charter has now entered into force and the Peace Council has become an official international organization.”
