المملكة: The Minister of Industry discusses strengthening international partnerships on the sidelines "Davos"
Minister Industryand mineral wealth, Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, with a number of government officials and leaders of major international companies, on the sidelines of the Kingdom’s participation in the work of the World Economic Forum 2026 in DavosSwiss.
The government meetings included a bilateral meeting held by His Excellency with the Prime Minister of Bermuda, David Burt, during which joint investment opportunities were reviewed, and ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides were discussed to serve their common interests. His Excellency also met with the Director-General of the Advanced Manufacturing Center of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
The meeting addressed the role of governments in formulating policies that support the private sector, and ways to accelerate the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies. In a bilateral meeting with the Executive Vice President of the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), Minister Al-Khorayef reviewed joint opportunities in the field of vaccine manufacturing in the Kingdom.
Transferring modern manufacturing technologies
In a related context, His Excellency the Minister held a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of leading international companies, which included the Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Medtronic, the CEO of Hertha Metals, in addition to the CEO of Archer.
These meetings discussed opportunities for expanding the business of these companies in The Kingdom, and its plans to manufacture new products, reviewed innovative solutions to enhance sustainability and reduce carbon emissions in the industrial sector, and also discussed ways to transfer modern manufacturing technologies for smart transportation to the Kingdom.
The meetings come on the sidelines of the Kingdom’s participation in the World Economic Forum 2026, which has consolidated its role as an active partner in discussing global economic issues.
