"Jafza" Expanding the automotive sector system through a center "Hellman-Endo" New logistics

Dubai, June 8, 2017 – Hillman Worldwide Logistics and Indo Group announced the laying of the foundation stone for a new logistics center for auto spare parts in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), enhancing the free zone’s role as a major gateway to regional and global trade.
The new facility will support the distribution of spare parts at a faster pace and greater efficiency in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Africa and other global markets, in light of the continued growth in demand for more flexible supply chains for the automotive sector.
The new facility extends over a total area of approximately 300,000 square feet, providing a flexible and expandable infrastructure that supports the distribution of large quantities with high efficiency.
The facility is being developed by Indo Logistics, a subsidiary of Indo Group, to be a specialized center for the automotive sector within the Hellman network in the Middle East.
Lee Iones, Regional CEO for India, Middle East and Africa at Hillman Worldwide Logistics, said: “The UAE represents a strategically important market within our global network, and by establishing this specialized center for the automotive sector in Jafza, we continue to systematically expand our regional capabilities, and create additional scalable infrastructure designed to serve this sector. This allows us to provide competitive and high-performance logistics solutions to our customers, and support the long-term development of their businesses.”
For his part, Abdullah Al Hashemi, CEO of Global Operations, DP World Group, said that Hellman’s investment reflects the development of supply chains, at a time when customers are looking for faster and more reliable access to vital spare parts across multiple markets, and by continuing to develop specialized infrastructure in Jafza, the group is supporting its partners in dealing with the current turmoil and maintaining the continuity of their operations.
The project reflects the growing demand for specialized logistical infrastructure for the automotive sector, in light of the increasing complexities across supply chains and their sensitivity to the time factor. Jafza continues to play a pivotal role in enabling the efficient flow of trade traffic between Europe, Asia and Africa, through its integrated infrastructure and multi-mode connectivity capabilities.
Jafza hosts a growing ecosystem of companies operating in the automotive, logistics and trade sectors, supported by direct access to Jebel Ali Port and multi-modal connectivity.
