Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed crowns the winners of the camel auction at the Al Dhafra Festival

Al Dhafra, 22nd January, WAM / Sheikh Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan crowned the winners of the 20 Al Dhafra races in the local and Al Majahim categories, as part of the final leg of the camel auction competitions at the 19th Al Dhafra Festival, which was held in Madinat Zayed in the Al Dhafra region, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.

The results resulted in Sheikh Khalifa bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan winning first place in the 20th Al Dhafra round for locals, and Sari Baloch Barak Al Mazrouei winning first place in the 20th Al Dhafra round for Al Majahim.

The coronation ceremony was attended by His Excellency Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, and His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, along with a number of officials, notables of the Al Dhafra Region and major camel owners.

The camel auction at the closing Al Dhafra Festival witnessed wide participation from camel owners from within the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, who competed with their camels in 118 races for purebred camel breeds of the locals, Al-Majahim, Al-Wadh and Al-Asayel hybrids, for which 1,135 prizes were allocated with a value of more than 53 million dirhams.

The final station included the milking competition, the falconry competition, the purebred Arabian horse race, the Saluki race, the Arabian Saluki competition, the dates and packaging competition, the Naeem sheep competition, the shooting competition, the sour milk competition, and other events and competitions in the Al Dhafra Heritage Market and the accompanying events field.
