UAE athletes dominate the Dubai Jet Ski Race

DUBAI, 25 JANUARY / WAM / UAE athletes topped the Dubai Jet Ski Race, which was held as part of the Dubai Water Sports Festival, and the final round witnessed strong competition that extended until yesterday evening on Jebel Ali Beach.

The race witnessed the participation of an elite group of riders representing 13 countries, namely the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Morocco, South Africa, Russia, Australia, France, Hungary, Austria, and the Cayman Islands. The participants presented distinguished technical levels in various specialized categories.

Mohammed Hareb, Member of the Board of Directors and Executive Director of the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, and Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Club’s Sports Affairs Department, crowned the winners of the first places, as participants competed for financial prizes amounting to 351 thousand dirhams.

In the freestyle category, Rashid Ali Al-Mulla won first place, ahead of Moroccan Yassin Fadli in second place, and South African Reynard Esterhuizen in third place.

Salman Al-Awadhi achieved first place in the sitting GP2 category, followed by Amer Huwair second, and Khaled Al-Mazmi third, while Suhail Rashid Al-Tayer was crowned champion of the standing GP2 category, ahead of Kuwaiti Nasser Al-Rujaib and Saud Al-Awadi.

In the sitting GP3 category, Jamal Al Janahi came first, followed by Saif Al Shuwaihi, then Hungarian Albert Agnes, while Abdullah Younis won first place in the standing junior GP3 category, ahead of Zayed Al Hammadi and Mohammed Rashid Al Tayer.

Hamdan Al-Hattawi topped the Waqif Junior GP3 category, ahead of Frenchman Milo Doulach and Mohammed Hariz, while Saud Mahmoud Al-Awadhi won the Waqif GP4 category title, followed by Ali Al-Ali and Saif Al-Shuwaihi.

In the GP1 Professional Sitting category, Kuwaiti Yousef Abdel Razzaq won first place, ahead of Hungary’s Casa Giorgi, and Khaled Al-Mazmi came third, while Australian Kevin Ritterer won the GP1 Professional Standing category title, ahead of Omar Al-Rashed and Ali Al-Ali.

As for the Veteran Standing GP2 category, Frenchman Stephen Doleac won first place, followed by Rashid Al Tayer and Hariz bin Hariz, while the Kuwaiti riders dominated the first three places in the sitting GP4 category, namely Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Khudari, Shaheen Ramadan, and Fawaz Issa.

Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Sports Affairs Department at the Dubai International Marine Sports Club, confirmed that organizing these competitions comes within the framework of the club’s 2025-2027 strategy, which aims to support the nurturing of talent and motivate various age groups to practice marine sports.
