DUBAI, 29 JANUARY / WAM / DAE announced today that it has reached an agreement with Royal Air Maroc to lease 13 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with the aircraft to be delivered during the year 2027.

This announcement comes as a continuation of a previous agreement between the two parties to lease two aircraft of the same type that were delivered earlier in 2025.

Fairouz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, said: The Kingdom of Morocco is a growing center for tourism and business in Africa, and is witnessing significant growth in air connectivity led by Royal Air Maroc, and we look forward to continuing to support the Moroccan monarchy in meeting the future requirements of its fleet.

For his part, Abdelhamid Adou, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Royal Air Maroc, said that this agreement is consistent with the strategic direction of Royal Air Maroc, which aims to strengthen its position as a global connectivity center.

He explained that the Boeing 737-8 aircraft will contribute to supporting the development of the destination network, by allowing the opening of new routes and increasing the number of flights with greater operational efficiency, which will enhance the company’s flexibility in responding to growing demand and ensure the provision of reliable connectivity between Africa, Europe and beyond.
