After widespread controversy.. Iran reveals the cause of the explosion in the city of Bandar Abbas
The star of the explosion that occurred on Saturday in a building in the city of Bandar Abbas is on the Gulf coast in the south of Iran, for Gas leak, according to what a firefighting official said.
State television quoted the city’s firefighting official, Muhammad Amin Liaqat, as saying: "The initial cause of the accident was a gas leak, which caused an explosion".
Several reports were received on Saturday about explosions in various parts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and local media denied that they were caused by attacks or sabotage operations.
This comes in light of tension against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump’s threat to launch a military operation against Tehran, and the latter’s assertion that it will respond forcefully to any strike.
