المملكة: 30 students participate in the advanced study of wooden signs in Al-Qassim


The activities of the advanced study of the wooden emblem, organized by General Administration of Education in the Qassim region, under the supervision of Saudi Arabian Scouting Association, and will continue until Thursday, Shaaban 17, 1447 AH, with the participation of 30 students from scouting leaders.

The leader of the study, Abdulaziz Al-Rubaie, confirmed, during the opening ceremony, that scouting work is essentially based on volunteering, pointing out that the Kingdom’s Scouts work according to multi-track strategic plans; To contribute to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, especially with regard to developing the Volunteer work and raising the numbers of volunteers, in a way that enhances the role of volunteering in development at the local, national and international levels, and contributes to achieving the development goals and sustainable development goals in the Kingdom.

He explained that organizing this study comes as confirmation of the keenness of the General Administration of Education in Qassim to support and encourage scouting work, because of the effective components it possesses that contribute to the success of its programs and activities, and its pivotal role in building the personality of boys and young people, and developing their leadership skills.

Advanced Scouting Qualification

Al-Rubai stated that the study aims to develop the students’ abilities to lead Scout units and qualify them for advanced Scouting qualification, through an integrated training program that combines theoretical and practical sessions, and addresses the responsibilities of the unit leader, methods of training youth, concepts and theories of leadership, in addition to planning and features of a good plan, Scouting curricula, the relationship of the Scouting movement with society, and preparing research and developing resources.

He pointed out that The program concludes with an applied excursion, during which participants acquire land navigation skills, dealing with secret signs, mapping, estimates and directions, and encrypted messages, which enhances the practical aspect and completes the training objectives of the study.
