Registration is open for the Bearings and Bwanish races in Al Dhafra and Al Mirfa

The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club announced the opening of registration to participate in the Jinana 22-foot sailboat races, the Salha Al Bwanish sailboat race, and the Tafaris race, which will be held on February 7 and 8 in the Al Dhafra region and the port city, in addition to the heritage diving race on the club’s sports agenda for the current season and within the “Abu Dhabi 2026” Masters Games.

These races come within the framework of the club’s keenness to support heritage marine sports, preserve the Emirati maritime heritage, and enhance the participation of captains and owners, in addition to expanding the map of heritage races in various regions of Abu Dhabi, according to an integrated system that takes into account the highest safety standards.

Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Director of Heritage Activities at the Club, confirmed that opening registration comes as part of the early preparations for organizing these races, pointing out that holding the races in Al Dhafra and Al Mirfa reflects the connection of heritage sports with the coastal environment in which they originated, and contributes to enhancing their community presence, in addition to providing the public with the opportunity to follow races that embody the values ​​of authenticity and maritime skill.

The club called on those wishing to participate to register within the specified dates, stressing that it will continue to organize heritage races that contribute to preserving the maritime identity and consolidating Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading destination for traditional marine sports.
