In the midst of an official presence, Saif bin Zayed witnesses the conclusion of an exercise "Security of the Arabian Gulf 4"

Doha, February 4, 2017 – Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, witnessed the activities of the closing day of the joint mobilization exercise “Arabian Gulf Security 4”, which was held in the State of Qatar, in the presence of Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Interior Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with the participation of Emirati and Gulf security forces in addition to a specialized team from the United States of America.
The fourth edition of the exercise was an extension of the series of previous editions that were carried out successively in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the activities of the current fourth edition began on January 25, 2026 and continued for 11 days.
During the closing ceremony, a visual presentation was presented that included the most important hypotheses that were implemented, in addition to a field military ceremony that dealt with a hypothetical security scenario that demonstrated a high level of coordination and accuracy among the participating forces through a review of rapid intervention operations and confronting potential security risks, and an accurate simulation of anti-terrorism hypotheses, protection of vital facilities, and crisis management, during which the security units demonstrated extreme speed in response and extreme precision in coordination between the various formations, while the force formations were reviewed in front of the main platform.
During his meeting with the participating Emirati forces, Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation for the performance of the participating Gulf forces, stressing that the presentations and hypotheses that were implemented with high professionalism reflect the development that the Gulf security services have achieved in training and qualification and their readiness to deal with various security scenarios, wishing them more success in achieving common strategic goals.
His Highness had arrived earlier in the Qatari capital, Doha, where he was received by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Qatari Minister of Interior and Commander of the Lekhwiya Internal Security Force, His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, and a number of senior officials.
During its 11 days, the exercise focused on implementing more than 70 field security assignments, exceeding 260 training hours, aimed at enhancing the readiness of the security services in the GCC countries in facing emerging security challenges, raising the degree of operational coordination and developing the joint work system.
The participating teams demonstrated advanced levels of efficiency and professionalism by implementing assumptions accurately, quickly, and in an integrated response between ground and air forces and special units.
