I bet on Al Ain in the league

Sports analyst, Subit Khater, confirmed that the competition for the professional league title this season has become largely confined to the Shabab Al-Ahly and Al-Ain teams, noting that the technical stability enjoyed by the two teams, and the lack of changes to the technical staff, contributed greatly to keeping them within the circle of strong competition for the title.

Khater told Emirates Al-Youm that he is betting on Al-Ain’s ability to continue competing until the final rounds of the competition, despite the great strength enjoyed by Shabab Al-Ahly, noting that each team has pros and cons that affect its performance in the league.

He added that “Dubai Knights” faces a double challenge due to its participation in several tournaments, such as the AFC Champions League and the President’s Cup, while Al Ain focuses more on the league, in addition to its qualification to the final of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup and the semi-final of the President’s Cup, which gives it an advantage and a greater opportunity to focus on local matches.

Subit Khater added: “Since the beginning of the second round, the picture has begun to become clearer, and it has become clear that the teams that maintained their technical stability and avoided coaching changes have better opportunities to compete, while the teams that recently made changes, such as Al-Wahda and Al-Wasl, face great difficulties in adapting and achieving the required continuity throughout the season.”

He explained that the current situation of other teams imposes technical and physical challenges on them, especially with the pressure of successive matches and possible injuries to players, which makes maintaining a consistent level difficult in light of the fierce competition between Al-Ahly and Al-Ain youth.

He continued: “Shabab Al-Ahly has a strong squad of both main players and substitutes, and this gives it a great advantage, while Al-Ain focuses more on the league and benefits from long experience in dealing with the pressures of competition and the compressed dates of matches, as the two teams show a great deal of tactical discipline and organization on the field, which makes any stumble for either of them directly affect the league standings.”

He added: “The direct confrontation between Al Ain and Shabab Al Ahly will be the most important indicator to determine the difference at the top, especially since the next matches for each of them may be against teams trying to prove themselves against the two champions, and therefore any lost point may make a big difference in the course of the competition.”

Subait Khater explained that Al Ain fans closely follow the league and analyze the performance with numbers and logic, and they are a very conscious audience that knows that any missing point may affect the team’s fortunes. He spoke about the opinions of some “Al Zaeem” fans regarding the difficulty of competing with Shabab Al Ahly, and the need for the team to focus on not wasting any point in the upcoming matches. He said: “Communicating with the fans showed the extent of their awareness and continuous follow-up, which reflects the importance of the two teams’ consistent performance in maintaining superiority over the competitors,” adding: “The presence of matches close to the league, whether Whether it was in the President’s Cup or the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank Cup, it may affect the players’ concentration and performance, but Al Ain management has the ability to deal with this situation efficiently, taking into account maintaining the quality of the team’s physical and mental performance.”

Khater added: “As for other teams, such as Al-Wahda and Al-Wasl, they have the potential and technical capabilities, but the frequent change of coaches clearly affected their stability and results, especially in sensitive positions such as attack, where players need to quickly adapt to the new way of playing.”
