“Barcelona Women” renews its victory over Real Madrid by six in the Champions League

Runner-up Barcelona renewed its lead over rival Real Madrid 6-0 in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the Women’s Champions League, reaching the semi-finals with a score of 12-2 on aggregate, setting up a date with Bayern Munich.

In front of 60,000 spectators, the Barcelona players ended the remaining excitement before half an hour had passed, thanks to three goals scored by Golden Ball winner Alexia Botillas, who played her 500th match with the Catalan team, in the eighth minute, then Norwegian Caroline Graham-Hansen (15) and Irene Paredes (27).

Despite the continued absence of the team’s other star, Aitana Bonmatti, who continues to recover, Barcelona did not stop there, as Polish Eva Pior scored the fourth goal in the 34th minute.

After the break, Hansen scored the double (55), before Dutch Esme Bruchts concluded the festival with a sixth goal in the 74th minute.

After winning three of the last five titles, Barcelona’s players will be the most prominent favorites in the semi-final against Bayern Munich, which defeated its English guest Manchester United on Wednesday evening with two goals in stoppage time 2-1, repeating its victory in the first leg away from home 3-2.

As for the second semi-final, the defending champion, Arsenal, will face the winner of the match between Lyon, France, and Wolfsburg, Germany, noting that the German team won the first leg away from home 1-0.
