In a historic precedent… a German club appoints a coach for the first team

The German club Union Berlin entered the history of European football from its widest gates, after it became the first club in the “five major leagues” to appoint a woman to the position of coach of the first team, in a move aimed at ensuring the team’s survival in the German League (Bundesliga).

This historic decision came after the dismissal of coach Steven Baumgart yesterday, Saturday, following the disappointing loss to Heidenheim (bottom of the standings).
