Launching of the International Youth Karate League "Fujairah 2026" In its 4th edition

Fujairah, February 13, 2026 – The competitions of the fourth edition of the International Youth Karate League, “Fujairah 2026”, began yesterday, with the participation of an elite group of male and female players from the world, amid international praise for the organization and the UAE’s continued support for the sport of karate.

The Spanish Antonio Spinos, President of the International Karate Federation, expressed his thanks to the UAE for its great efforts in supporting the karate process globally, praising the prominent role of Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi and his contributions to developing the game and enhancing its successes on the international scene, in addition to the efforts of the Emirates Karate Federation and the Supreme Organizing Committee.

For his part, Major General Nasser Abdul Razzaq Al Razouqi, President of the Emirati and Asian Karate Federations and Vice President of the International Federation, stressed that the event represents a unique opportunity for young people from all over the world to meet, exchange experiences, and embody the sporting values ​​on which karate is based.

At the organizational level, the President and Vice President of the International Federation held an important meeting with the tournament referees to ensure the level of readiness and to confirm the implementation of the new amendments to the International Arbitration Law, while a course was held for the referees for international badge tests on the sidelines of the tournament.

The first day’s competitions were strong and exciting, and the results resulted in the Indonesian Zaskaya winning the gold in the youth kata, and the Japanese Takamasa Yatoji winning the gold in the youth kata, while the kumite gold was distributed among a number of champions, most notably the Egyptian Roaa Al-Taher in the over-66 kg weight for the young women, the Saudi Abdel Rahman Arafat in the under-55 kg weight for the youth, and the Turkish Burak Othman in the under-76 kg weight.
