"Badminton" Announces the agenda of its foreign and local participations

Dubai, February 13 / WAM / The UAE Badminton Federation announced the agenda of its foreign and local participations during the coming period, which includes participation in the Uganda International Championship, from 18 to 22 February this year, and the Portuguese International Championship, from 4 to 8 March next, in addition to preparing the participant to participate in the Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament, on the 22 and 23 of this February, as part of the federation’s plan to enhance the international presence and raise the readiness of the national teams.
This came during the federation’s Board of Directors meeting held yesterday, in Dubai, in the presence of the Chairman and members of the Board, during which Her Excellency Noura Hassan Al Jasmi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, praised the recent global achievements achieved by the game, stressing that the UAE national team’s crowning of the 2025 Outdoor Badminton World Cup in Khor Fakkan represents a national achievement that reflects the scale of development witnessed by the sport of badminton in the country.
She also congratulated player Rayan Malhan on winning the gold medal and first place in the Hungarian International Championship, and his rise to the top of the world rankings for the U-19 youth category, praising the support of the Emirates Committee for Nurturing Sports Talents, which played an important role in achieving this global achievement.
Dr. Asma Saeed Khadil, Member of the Board of Directors and Head of the Strategy and Performance Development Committee, reviewed the Federation’s plan to align its policies and practices with the strategy of the Ministry of Sports, in addition to performance indicators and committee work plans in a way that enhances governance and raises the efficiency of institutional performance.
