The Minister reviewed the role of the Social Development Bank in supporting economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, as the volume of support provided amounted to 8.5 billion riyals, from which more than 130 thousand beneficiaries benefited, which contributes to stimulating small and medium enterprises and enhancing economic stability.
Private sector contribution
The goal of the meeting is to strengthen the partnership between the human resources system and social development. and the business sector in the region, and to discuss ways to develop the labor market system, support economic empowerment and entrepreneurship programs, and stimulate local investments, in a way that enhances the private sector’s contribution to economic and social development.
His Excellency’s visit included a meeting with the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Medina Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nayef bin Odeh Al-Saedi, during which the prospects for joint cooperation between the Ministry and the Chamber were discussed, in a way that contributes to supporting economic empowerment programs and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors.
