Saif bin Zayed meets with the Uzbek Interior Minister

ABU DHABI, 16th February, 2018 (WAM) – Lt. General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, met with His Excellency Aziz Tashbulatov, Minister of the Interior of the friendly Republic of Uzbekistan, within the framework of the keenness of the leadership of the two friendly countries to develop the horizons of cooperation and enhance the strategic partnership, and to emphasize the importance of integrated work to consolidate security and stability, and contribute to building a more balanced and sustainable international system.
During the meeting, ways to enhance security cooperation were discussed in light of the current regional and international changes, and in keeping with the nature of cross-border threats, most notably organized crime, cyber challenges, and the dangers of extremism.
The meeting also discussed the importance of employing advanced technologies and artificial intelligence in developing police work, in a way that enhances readiness and improves the efficiency of security systems.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoun Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, His Excellency Major General Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Dr. Ahmed Zaal Al Muhairi, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Financial and Administrative Sector Affairs, and a number of officers.
On the Uzbek side, the meeting was also attended by Faruk Dhakirov, Chargé d’Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UAE, Colonel Zafar Kurbanov, Deputy Minister of the Interior, and a number of officials.
