He explained that the association is based on a strategic vision with two dimensions, local and global, as it focuses locally on establishing a culture of prevention, enhancing health awareness, and empowering citizens through specialized training programs, in line with the vision and policies of the UAE in the field of health and community health.
He stated that the first conference on occupational health and people of determination will be organized next October in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, to consolidate the country’s position as a leading regional center in this field, and to enhance integration between occupational health and the needs of people of determination within an integrated scientific and institutional framework.
He pointed out that the association received institutional support from the Department of Community Development and the Ministry of Community Empowerment, who played a pivotal role in reaching the stage of officially announcing the association, which is the first of its kind in the region and the Middle East with this comprehensive concept of occupational health and community health, to provide quality services that improve the health of employees and society alike.
He touched on one of the association’s strategic axes, which is employing artificial intelligence techniques, by utilizing health data and information for employees and society and transforming them into predictive analytical systems capable of issuing early warnings and anticipating future health risks, pointing out that this trend will take place through effective partnerships with government agencies.
At the global level, he expressed the association’s aspiration to assume a leadership position and to constitute a standard reference “Benchmark” in the field of occupational health and community health, by attracting the best international practices and specialized scientific institutions.
He explained that the association is currently seeking to attract the International Occupational Health Association, which was founded in 1906 and includes under its umbrella more than 67 scientific organizations, and is responsible for preparing and submitting health reports in various countries of the world, in a way that strengthens bridges of international cooperation and consolidates the Emirati presence in this vital sector, stressing the importance of attracting scientists, experts and specialists in occupational health to be partners in a system of scientific, academic and practical cooperation.
