Inspection campaign
As part of its annual plan, it was implemented "Food and medicine" An inspection campaign to verify the safety of the most widely consumed products during the holy month of Ramadan included all regions of the Kingdom during the month of Shaban, as (4,346) products were verified in (793) establishments visited, and more than (21) tons of violating products were seized, before they reached consumers.
The authority confirmed the continuation of its oversight efforts to limit the arrival of violating products to the markets, noting that violating the food system and its executive regulations may reach The penalty is suspension of activity, imprisonment, or fines amounting to (10) million Saudi riyals, calling on everyone to report violations via the unified number (19999), in order to enhance community partnership in consumer protection.
