They sold their crimes on the “Dark Web”… Death sentence for a couple who assaulted 33 children in India

An Indian court has sentenced a couple to death on charges of sexually assaulting 33 boys, some as young as 3 years old, and selling video clips showing the assaults on the “dark web,” according to authorities.
Some victims were hospitalized for treatment of genital injuries sustained during sexual assaults, according to a statement issued Friday by India’s National Bureau of Investigation.
The attacks were committed between 2010 and 2020 in the Banda and Chitrakoot districts of the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The statement said, “During the investigation, it was found that the defendants committed various heinous acts, including sexual assaults against 33 male children.”
A special court sentenced the couple to death, and ordered the state government to pay one million rupees (11,021 US dollars) in compensation to each victim.
The ruling is subject to appeal to a higher court.
The National Bureau of Investigation reported that the couple lured their victims by offering them online video games, money and gifts.
The couple recorded the attacks and sold the videos and photos on the Dark Web to customers in 47 countries, according to the Times of India.
