Del Toro is close to winning the eighth edition of the 2026 UAE Tour

Mexican Isaac del Toro won the sixth and penultimate stage (Burjeel Holding Stage) of the 2026 UAE Tour, which is organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and his competitions continue until tomorrow, February 22.

Mexican Isaac del Toro regained the red jersey, sponsored by Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and allocated to the leader of the overall standings, after recording a total time of 18 hours, 13 minutes and 42 seconds in the six stages of the Tour so far, with a difference of 20 seconds from the Italian Antonio Tiberi, bringing the UAE team rider close to crowning the title of the eighth edition.

Stage champion Del Toro also snatched the green jersey, sponsored by Mubadala, to lead the points standings, raising his score to 56 points. The Mexican also grabbed the white jersey, sponsored by Burjeel Holding, for the best young rider under 25 years of age, while the black jersey remained, sponsored by Aldar, to lead the medium speeds with Sylvain Dillier, rider of the Alpecin Premier Tech team.
