The Chief Mufti of Dubai calls for contributions to the “Had Life” campaign

His Eminence Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al Haddad, Chief Mufti, Director of the Fatwa Department at the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, called on all of society to contribute to the “End Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation, which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan, to raise at least one billion dirhams to be invested in implementing sustainable programs and projects that contribute to combating… Child hunger in the world.
The “End of Life” campaign falls under the umbrella of the “Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives” Foundation, and focuses in particular on children who face the most dangerous forms of hunger in the most vulnerable communities, especially in areas of disasters, crises and conflicts, where 5 children under the age of five die from malnutrition and hunger in the world every minute.
The “End Life” campaign comes to save 5 million children from starvation, in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, and Action Against Hunger.
His Eminence Dr. Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Haddad said: “The End of Life campaign launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, is a great humanitarian campaign aimed at saving the lives of children in the world who suffer from famine and malnutrition. Disease leading to death or physical or mental disability kills them, and they number more than one hundred million children in the world.”
He added that this terrifying humanitarian situation for these emerging children, who it is hoped will become the active men and women of tomorrow, and if they become a burden on societies, has made it a humanitarian duty, before it is Islamic and moral, to combine efforts to save their lives, through food, medicine, clothing, and education. They are the children of mankind who are honored by God Almighty, and the children of the brothers of humanity, and whoever knows about their condition and then does nothing is negligent in the rights of human brotherhood, and that is not appropriate for someone who is able to do so. Benefit them, save their lives, and provide for them as they should.
Dr. Al-Haddad added: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has put his hand on the pain to treat it from its roots with this great initiative in this holy month, which is an arena for competition in good deeds and competition to please the Lord of creation, Glory be to Him, the Almighty, by spending in this noble charitable path, so that people compete by contributing to it, and offering it as an offering to them before their Lord, who accepts alms from those who give charity, as stated in the hadith, “Whoever gives charity is just.” A date from good earnings, and God accepts nothing but good things. God accepts it with His right hand, then nurtures it for its owner, just as one of you nurtures a foal until it becomes like a mountain. This is a transaction with God Almighty who rewards it many times over, as God Almighty said: “Lend to God a good loan, and He will multiply it for you and forgive you, and God is Most Gracious, Most Forbearing.” Rather, it is a revival of the human soul that is honored by God Almighty, as the Almighty said: “And whoever saves it, it is as if he saved all of mankind.” Contributing to this campaign is a true revival of those who have been touched by calamity and hardship, and who have lingered in their lives. This, despite knowledge and ability, is contributing to their harm and destruction, and that is not permissible according to law or reason.”
His Eminence said: “Here is the Sheikh of Benevolent Women who has opened the door to contribute to removing the harm from those deprived children. Whoever does good to them does good to himself: (And God loves those who do good.) And whoever delays in doing so, despite his ability, is only doing harm to himself, as he does not want to benefit from it on the day when neither wealth nor children will benefit, especially in this noble month in which good deeds are multiplied, and it is the month of generosity, giving, and giving, which our Prophet Muhammad, the best prayers and peace of God be upon him, was upon. He is more generous with goodness than the blowing wind, and he is our role model and role model for all goodness. He calls us, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, to such contributions, such as his saying: “Fear the Fire, even with half a date,” and his saying: “Charity extinguishes sin just as water extinguishes fire,” and his saying: “Heal your sick with charity, and protect your wealth with zakat.”
His Eminence added: “Our Lord, Glory be to Him, calls us with His saying (So strive for good deeds to Allah, all of you will return) and His Almighty saying: ‘And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the righteous.’” [آل عمران: 133] “Those who spend in good times and in adversity, and who restrain anger and pardon people, and God loves the doers of good.” [آل عمران: 134] And here is His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, who has opened the door to the competition for good deeds for us with this initiative and this indication of goodness. The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave good news to whoever guides people to goodness that he will have a reward similar to theirs. He, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “Whoever establishes a good tradition in Islam will have its reward and the reward of whoever does it after him, without their rewards being diminished in the slightest,” and he said, “The one who guides people to goodness is like the one who does it, and God loves relieving the anxious.” May God reward him on behalf of these miserable children and their families with the best reward, extend his life, and bless his work.”
