2,000 contestants in the running race at the Ajman Government Sports Tournament
Ajman, February 26 / WAM / The running race was concluded yesterday evening as part of the activities of the Ajman Government Sports Tournament in its sixth edition, with a record participation of more than 2,000 competitors from inside and outside the country.
The race included various distances, including 10 and 5 kilometers for adults, in addition to a 2-km distance for families and children, which provided the opportunity for participation for all ages and physical levels.
The race included honoring the winners of first places in various categories, where the winners were crowned by His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, in appreciation of their efforts and to motivate them to continue sporting excellence.
On the sidelines of the events, a number of senior officials from government agencies, led by His Excellency Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ajman, His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Foundation, and His Excellency Yousef Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi from the General Secretariat of the Executive Council, accompanied by His Excellency Ahmed Al Raisi, Director of the Office of the President of the Executive Council and Chairman of the Supreme Committee Organizing the Sports Tournament of the Ajman Government, were briefed during an inspection tour of the progress of the competitions, the level of readiness and organization in the various event sites, and follow-up of the logistical and service aspects provided. For participants and the public, they inspected a number of sports facilities and facilities hosting competitions.
The officials praised the good organization and high readiness of the facilities, stressing that the excellence witnessed by the tournament reflects the magnitude of the efforts made and the integrated coordination between the various parties to make the event a success and bring it out in an honorable manner befitting the status of the Ajman government, and enhances the status of the tournament as a pioneering sporting and community event at the level of the emirate.
