China demands its citizens to leave Iran

It called China urged its citizens on Friday to avoid traveling to Iran under "A significant increase in external security risks" At a time when the United States threatens to carry out strikes against Tehran.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "In light of the current security situation in Iran, the Chinese Foreign Ministry and the Chinese Embassy and Consulates in Iran remind Chinese citizens of the need to avoid traveling to Iran at this time.".

She added "Chinese nationals currently in Iran are advised to strengthen safety measures and leave as soon as possible".
