The President of the Republic of Ecuador awards the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi the National Order of Merit
Quito – Ecuador, 2 March / WAM / His Excellency Daniel Noboa, President of the Republic of Ecuador, awarded His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the National Order of Merit, Grand Medal, during an official reception ceremony at the Carondelet Presidential Palace in the capital, Quito, in appreciation of His Highness’s efforts in consolidating the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Ecuador.
His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation and pride in this honor, noting that the medal embodies the depth of the historical relations and the strength of the strategic partnership between the UAE and Ecuador over more than five decades. His Highness stressed the importance of continuing to expand the scope of the bilateral partnership in a way that serves the vision and aspirations of the leadership and people of the two friendly countries, in light of the support and care of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him,” and His Excellency Daniel Noboa, President Republic of Ecuador.
For his part, His Excellency Daniel Noboa confirmed that granting His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan the National Order of Merit comes in appreciation of His Highness’s efforts and contributions in supporting the growing strategic partnership between the Republic of Ecuador and the United Arab Emirates in various sectors that constitute a priority in the development agenda. His Excellency expressed his aspiration to continue strengthening the economic, trade and investment ties of the two friendly countries, affirming the joint commitment to advancing bilateral relations towards Wider horizons.
The National Order of Merit, Grand Medal, is the highest and most prestigious civil award granted by the Republic of Ecuador to heads of state, government leaders, or dignitaries who have made exceptional contributions to building bridges of friendship and partnership with Ecuador in various fields that contribute to enhancing joint cooperation and supporting strategic partnership directions in a way that serves mutual interests.
