He started a branch of the Saudi Red Crescent in the Makkah al-Mukarramah 15,150 emergency reports during the first ten days of the month Ramadan, as part of its approved operational plan to serve Umrah pilgrims, visitors, and residents of the region, through an integrated ambulance system that works around the clock to enhance the speed of response and raise the readiness of ambulance services.
The authority’s branch in the region explained that the ambulance teams dealt with various emergency reports through the command and control centers, as a number of specialized medical paths were activated to ensure the provision of urgent care according to the highest medical standards, and the number of cases within the cardiac catheterization path reached 29 cases, while the cardiac catheterization path recorded 29 cases. With regard to emergency support, 13 cases were transported via air ambulance to the specialized health facilities, which contributes to accelerating the arrival of critical cases and providing them with urgent medical care.
