المملكة: The Red Crescent handles 122,000 emergency reports within 3 months in Mecca
Ambulance serviceswith high efficiency, and enhancing the speed of response to emergency cases in the various governorates of the region.
The Authority explained that the Holy Capital recorded (61,868) ambulance reports, while Jeddah Governorate reported (46,949) reports, and Taif Governorate recorded (13,369) reports, which reflects the size of the field efforts made to cover the population density and continuous movement in the region.
With regard to air ambulance, the total number of reports reached (92) reports, distributed by (44) reports in the Holy Capital, (34) reports in Jeddah, and (14) reports in Taif, in an indication of supporting critical cases and enhancing the speed of medical transport for cases that require urgent intervention.
Effective response to emergency cases
The paths of heart attacks also recorded (221) cases, including (90) cases in the Holy Capital, (117) cases in Jeddah, and (14) cases in Taif, while the number of cases of stroke reached (234) cases, divided into (99) cases in the Holy Capital, (106) cases in Jeddah, and (29) cases in Taif, within an integrated system aimed at accelerating specialized medical procedures and raising the chances of survival.
The authority confirmed that these numbers reflect the integration of efforts between the teams. Ambulance and health agencies from the government and private sectors, in addition to the non-profit sector, in a way that contributes to enhancing the quality of services provided, and achieving an effective response to emergency cases.
The Authority called on community members to cooperate with the ambulance teams by clearing the way, and taking the initiative to request the service when needed through the number (997) or through the application. "Help me,” stressing the continuation of its efforts to develop the emergency work system in line with the aspirations of the wise leadership – may God support it – in providing the best services to the guests of God and the residents of the region.
