The Head of State receives a phone call from the President of East Timor, during which he affirmed solidarity with the UAE following the Iranian attacks on its territory.
Abu Dhabi, 2 March / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, today received a phone call from His Excellency Jose Ramos-Horta, President of the Democratic Republic of East Timor, during which they discussed the latest developments in the regional situation and the serious repercussions of the escalation that the region is witnessing on its security and stability.
During the call, His Excellency affirmed East Timor’s solidarity with the UAE regarding the blatant Iranian attacks targeting its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its territories and citizens.
For his part, His Highness the President of the State expressed his thanks to His Excellency Jose Ramos-Horta for East Timor’s position in support of the UAE.
The two sides called for the need to resolve differences and issues through dialogue and diplomatic means in a way that preserves regional and international security and stability.
